The technician was polite, on time and knowledgeable. I was pleased Norfolk heating and cooling actually shared a picture of who's coming into your home I think more businesses should implement that. I paid $89 service fee for HVAC inspection which was reasonable.
Damien was very knowledgeable in his craft. He explained everything about my unit and broke it down Barney language so I could understand what was going on.
STAY AWAY! This company will ignore calls to address potential damage caused to your home by their technicians. I waited for over two weeks for them to respond and they ghosted me. Take it from a retired member of our armed forces, you don't want to use a company that won't take accountability for their actions - even if it might have been by mistake. Find another company - and fast!
Our experience has been that from the hvac install and few repairs we have had, all took too long and cost too much. Nice people doing installs and fixes; everyone from the office we have talked to has been friendly for the most part.Recent example, our HVAC wasn't working. The Office and tech did not coordinate on pricing, so we had to argue back and forth over what we were being told and had additional line items appear on invoices. Not fun when your dealing with no heat or ac. On top of that, it took over a week to fix.
I recent had my AC system replaced with Norfolk Air Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical and Tyler was the initial salesperson/technician. Tyler came out to provide a quote for the job and he was professional throughout the entire process. I gave feedback on Carl, who installed the unit, and he was amazing but I also wanted to provide feedback on Tyler as well. At a time when good customer service is sometimes hard to find, Tyler and Carl were true professional and I just want to say 'Kudos' to both of them.
Called me 15 minutes before my appointment window after waiting a week to tell me they would not be able to help me because my system was too new. Very unprofessional because they could’ve not scheduled me In the first place or called me over the five days and let me know their decision

Ricky Arrived on time, greeted with introduction, pleasant personality and big smile. Explained estimate and cost (thought pricey) and what he would be doing to resolve sewer line backed up in house. I approved due to urgency to clear out sewer pipes. Ricky kept me updated along the way, sharing number clogs cleared. . Ricky was able resolve my issue to satisfaction.... The first service was great. Now the summer one they have rescheduled me THREE times. This is less than 24 hours after contacting me to confirm my appt slot for today. Definitely going to be calling around at this point. Ridiculous.Dropped to 1 star. When the “service manager” called me back he told me I was lower priority since my A\C is actually working. Yea I get that but at what point do you lose customers because you reschedule them? I took time off of work for this on 2 different occasions and now have to for a 3rd. When I asked for some sort of a discount (I’d be happy with at least an offer of something) the “manager” Brian told me that I was still receiving my full service only delayed. My original appt was in May, now it’s being scheduled for late July.
Price for cleaning out a 10 foot lond sewer main from clean out to street was 705 dollars. 20 minutes and technician didn’t have an extension code so instead of him going to hardware store I provided on. Had a family emergency so just needed to get it done. Reached out to other companies after and double the price most charge. Technician n knew I was not happy but tried to get me do camera scope. Will not use or refer anyone to them.
I'm a previous customer of Norfolk Heating and Air and have always been happy with their service. Our AC went out last night and our house was very hot. I called the number to set an appt and spoke with an AI bot. The bot said they had appointment times available today, I said great, please schedule. About 30 minutes later, I received a text and email confirming an appointment time of 8a-10a. My husband and I moved around work appointments and a doctor's appointment to accommodate that time, but were very relieved someone would be here quickly. then I received a call around 815am that they didn't have that time available but could be there from 2p-6p. I called back and said I didn't understand what happened, I was promised an appt time of 8a-10a and had already moved things around for a confirmed appointment. She said the AI bot just does that and nothing was ever confirmed (although it clearly said we had an appointment time in both the email and text). I asked her to honor the time they gave me and she said it never really existed, that's just what the AI does but if I couldn't make the time work today, the next available was next week. I explained my child is graduating today during that time and could not make it work. I've called another company who will be here today. I work in home services with AI all the time, clearly something is wrong with yours and if you know that, you need to honor it or fix it.
Barry and Jackson did an amazing job with precision and excellence!! They professionally fixed my ac and in a timely matter. Don't sleep on these two, they are amazing! They definitely deserve a raise!
This place is a masterclass in incompetence. I don’t know what kind of circus they’re running, but calling it “24/7 service” is a bold-faced lie. Try “whenever we feel like it — or not at all.” I called THREE TIMES over two miserable days while my family, including three small children, baked in an 80-degree house. Each time, we were fed the same empty promise: “A technician will be sent.” Spoiler alert — no one ever came.When I called again, desperate and frankly furious, the person at the physical location acted like I was somehow the problem — like asking them to do their job was just too much to handle. The attitude was appalling, the professionalism nonexistent, and the follow-through laughable. I've seen more coordination at a middle school group project.If you enjoy being lied to, dismissed, and left to rot in your own personal sauna, go ahead and give them a call. Otherwise, run — don’t walk — far, far away from this disaster of a company. Their “service” is nothing more than a hot, humid joke.
All-around excellent work once again done by Damien of Norfolk Heating & Air on our HVAC Unit, we had perfect Heating during the recent winter and now we fully enjoy excellent Cooling Air as well just as 90 Degrees Heat reaches Eastern Virginia this June!
Cameron was excellent. He is knowledgeable, answered all our questions, and to top it off is thorough, polite and courteous. We will be requesting him in the future.
We called Norfolk Air Heating and Cooling for a plumbing leak that no one has been able to fix. Eric was really knowledgeable and explained everything. He solved the problem in one afternoon. I would highly recommend this company and will use them again in the future.
A lot of over charging I want 2 lights installed one of them was already installed just needed to connect the wires and he said he was charging me 2678.98 to install one light but the entire time his other technician kept shaking his head and smiling
Had Norfolk cooling and air come out because my ac was not working. Got an appointment the day I called and Troy came out and walked me threw what could be wrong, the tears he was running and how he planned to fix it. He was so helpful and professional!
Brand new system and duct work replaced overall great experience, guys came and cleaned up at the end of every day before they left. Small hiccup at the end with the air handler but got it situated right away. thank you to Melton for the install, and thank you to Justin and Gordon for fixing the small issue . Very knowledgeable.
Our geothermal HVAC has not been working. Valve needed to get things in order. Thankful to have them as our allies in keeping our heating and cooling needs in good working order.

Worst experience ever. I’ve had issues before with my ac unit so I know what to expect from a company but this was the worst company I’ve ever interacted with. They sent a guy to come look at my ac unit outside because it wasn’t working. The guy shows up lets us know the compressor is bad and that he’ll call me to discuss the estimate after he finds out if it still has warranty. The next day I’m waiting all day for a call and look at my email to an estimate. No call to go over it. The estimate only had the part amounts I would need with the specific jobs they were wanting to do. No specific itemized estimate for how much each job was just an overall amount for the entire job. I call the office first to get an itemized bill because again I’ve dealt with ac estimates before so I know what to look for and compare prices. The lady said it was against the companies policy to provide an itemized bill??????? flag number 1. Then I request them to add a leak test to my estimate because this is the second time I’ve had issues with the compressor. I ask how much would that be and she said I would need to pay again for someone to come back out and look at it to tell me how much???? After the first guy already came out and knew we needed a leak test to actually fix the problem that’s messing up my compressors. They were only going to change the broken part but not actually fix the actual problem. Flag #2. They were the worst company I’ve ever interacted with they couldn’t even answer any of my questions or provide the information needed
I had the pleasure of working with Gordon from Norfolk Air Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. He was professional, knowledgeable, and carried himself with a pleasant, respectful demeanor. It’s clear he takes pride in his work, and he explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. Gordon is definitely the kind of technician you’d want to return for future service—dependable, courteous, and skilled. Highly recommended!
This was my first & last business with Norfolk Heating & Air. The representative was very nice , however the cost to replace a pop up drain assembly in bathroom costs $416 which was way to high. Very disappointed as I hoped to find a reputable company to go to when services were needed.
Thought about leaving my very first negative review ever in paragraph form …. to realize this HVAC company isn’t worth it. Just trust me - the prices are higher than everyone else and there literally is no operational schedule. I was cancelled on twice and the second time was literally 30 minutes prior. I did receive my $349 back promptly to pay someone else half the price for the same work. IF you are a younger person and not already in this “club” do like me and get Mike and Sons - to realize why they are so large and sought after.
I do not recommend this company, they take advantage of young single home owners. Mainly the Navy soldiers, no respect for these people. They charged for just looking at the problem and say they can’t fix it, when they were told what the problem was. I totally recommend Guy Smith, very honest people, great service, no hidden fees! One star is just to be able to post, but not even 1 star worth it! Still have not been able to speak to someone about it, lady that answers is rude.
I had a sewer issue in a 1961 built home I recently purchased. Jerome and William took care of my issue and were very professional, courteous, and always had my best interests in mind. Definitely would recommend them and use them again.

A technician named Matt Smith came out to my place on Easter Sunday. He was very professional n helped out an old guy like me. He got my AC working again in less than an hour. Super happy with him. I totally recommend this company to all.
The technician, Gordon was great! However this company charged me a service diagnosis of $89 just to tell me I will need a service diagnostic and it will cost extra. Then after I pay for the additional service diagnostic, I will have to pay whatever amount for the repair service.
Very responsive from original call, communicated throughout appointment process. Ebony was polite, and professional. Jerome contacted can arrived early. He worked very hard to find solution and made recommendations going forward. He was a pleasure to work with and extremely knowledgeable and professional. Thank you. It is not easy to have vendors in a home and he made it ok.
Barry and his team did a great job rapidly identifying problems, and providing simple solutions that I could understand. Once again, I am a satisfied customer.
Had to replace a toilet and Henry and Travis were sent out within three hours of my request for service. Henry and Travis did an excellent job of removing the old toilet and installing the new one. They cleaned up nicely and were friendly. The lady who took my call also was friendly. This is an excellent company I use for plumbing, electrical, gas, heating and air conditioning. UPDATE: I noted a small leak from the tank of the new toilet and emailed Norfolk Air. Henry and Travis responded in less than two hours (on a Saturday!) and tightened the fittings. Can't ask for better service. CONTINUED: I had a leak for a different toilet. At my request on a weekend, Travis called within two hours and came by the same day to repair the leak. Again- excellent service! Added 10/14/19: A new technician performed our regular, twice-a-year service. Emanuel was a pleasant, knowledgeable young man. Besides checking the heating system for the winter, Emanuel cleaned our humidifier, Great job, as usual! Update on 11/11/19: Doing some renovation and had to redirect a gas valve. Henry came out as scheduled and did the job. Very pleasant and professional experience as usual. THIS IS ONE WELL-RUN COMPANY! Update: 9/18/20- Had biannual inspection by Cassidy. Fine young man. Everything is working well- both heating and cooling. This is good insurance to have these inspections. Update August 27th 2022. Jake came out to repair our air conditioner that stopped working. One of the drains had locked up. Very happy with his coming out within an hour and his friendliness and good advice. New service Nov.2022 with clogged sink. John replaced sagging pipes under the house and cleared a mass of built up grease with Marvin's help. Difficult job completed to my satisfaction. New post November 2004. At a plumbing problem and called Norfolk Air, in Jerome came out in 1 hour. Jerome was a fine, pleasant, informative young man and took care of the problem. Thanks again for your good work and having such a good technician. GaryHad 2 problems: Darrian worked very hard to repair our clogged kitchen sink, finding a nasty build up of grease in the pipes. Very pleasant young man. 2nd problem- our 17 year old tankless hot water heater stopped working. We thought we would need a new heater, but Barry found it was a bad switch. He also found a previous company mis-installer a surge protector and arranged to the fix it in a week. Another pleasant young man!
Would not recommend for a/c unit replacement. . I got my entire ac unit replaced before PCSing. My 700 sq ft property was vacant for 2-3 months and my electricity bill was over 400 dollars each month. Turns out that there was a fault in the meter from the manufacturer they purchased from. I had to play phone tag between them and the manufacturer to only get the prorated amount from the fault paid. Which took longer than needed. I was only offered 200 and the difference was over 500. It was a disappointing moment because i was recommended to them by several people.
I had to have my HVAC and duct system replaced in my older home. The process was smooth sailing. Frankie was very communicative throughout the process. The lead tech on my work was Melton. I believe Thomas and Joshua also worked on my home. Everyone was incredibly polite, helped keep my home clean, and they stayed on schedule to get the job done. Replacing HVAC and duct work is no cake walk and not a cheap matter, but the team made it as seamless as possible.

It’s hard to find such dedicated and friendly service these days, but these guys delivered. I highly recommend Norfolk Air and especially this fantastic team!
I needed some plumbing work done under my kitchen sink. Eric and Will showed up promptly on time and worked very efficiently. If I have any plumbing issues in the future, I’m going to request these two gentleman by name. The professionalism displayed by these gentleman was highly impeccable!
No complaints on the work done today. It was completed far more quickly than I hoped and the tech was efficient and thorough. The price was right, too.
