Thursday, 8.11.22, approx 1030am : I was surprised to find a leak in our sing in our main bathroom which had flooded the cabinets. I proceeded to work to loosen pipes to determine root cause. Unable to do that, I called Norfolk Air and they made a commitment of service visit between 2p-6p that day. I decided to go ahead and run errands before that. As I was still out. I received a call from John Edmunds/Norfolk Air that he was en route. I explained commitmentbwas for 2p-6p and I was out but make my way home asap. John assured no problem and office text me it was fine, they advised John to wait for my arrival. I arrived a few minutes after 2pm, my son had already let John in and he had already corrected the problem. Apparently, the faucet aereator was the issue, leaking back into handles, when water on.John showed me all, tightened pipes I had previously loosened.. John also made time to check our other bath faucet as well. New homeowner this location , so appreciate John/Norfolk Air being user friendly, reliable as they are.John was great! Nice guy, knowledgeable, courteous. Appreciate all!! previous testimony several weeks ago that I posted on Google re their a/c repair service : I called Norfolk Air on Saturday, approximately noon, because we had lost our a/c. Surprisingly, they made service calls on Saturday and Sunday. So, they committed to a 4hour window that same afternoon. I received a text from Matt, the assigned Tech, a short time later confirming his visit. Matt showed up early and went to work diagnosing the problem in a few minutes (capacitor went bad). Matt then quoted the charges for the repair (beyond our service contract). Matt replaced the part and we were up and running a few minutes later. Matt was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. All in all, we reported a problem to Norfolk Air around noon and the Tech visited and fixed the problem asap, total time from reporting to repair - about 2 1/2 hours! -- on a Saturday!!!,.. (who does that?? -- Norfolk Air!)..Great service!.. Highly recommended!..
Jake arrived on time. He was courteous and conscientious while assessing and repairing the problem with our A/C. He helped expedite the repairs same day, rather than having to wait until after the weekend to be cool again. I’ve been a repeat customer for several years — this type of service ensures I will continue to be for years to come.

John & Marvin were on time. They diagnosed a difficult issue of raw sewage from a blocked pipe. They were dedicated in finding creative solutions to fix the issue. They were very professional, explained the situation & it's resolution, & were a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend them to a friend.
Always prompt, professional service. Technicians are knowledgeable and friendly. The scheduling coordinator is always wonderful and gets me the service and help I need asap. They call when they are 20 minutes away to confirm their arrival time. You also get text and email notifications. The text will have a photo of your technician so you know who is coming to service your home. I have used them for years for my hvac needs and am always pleased.

I don't write reviews too often, but In this instance I feel I have to give a shout out to an employee named Cassidy Brooks (Cass). He was able to locate an issue with my A/C that was causing the refrigerant pipes to freeze up, despite multiple technicians called for the same problem. The entire time he was very professional, gave honest feedback when I asked questions, and worked diligently through the heat. I never felt like I was being forced into unessecary purchases. I've had hits and misses with my A/C for years, and most of the time it's just the equipment being difficult, not a lack of professionalism with the company - Cass was able to be that extra push above professionalism to isolate the issue. I had a leaky sink faucet. They came out for $80 to look at it for less than 5 minutes and gave me three OUTRAGEOUSLY high proposals, never even taking the faucet apart to look at the problem. Told me parts were expensive these days, as is labor. I was able to get the part myself for $44 and had a friend fix it. I will NEVER consider them for plumbing again.
Norfolk Air recently evaluated, tried repairing, and ultimately replaced our AC unit. Came out at 10:00 the morning it broke down, and we were running with a new unit 4 days later on the hottest days of summer. Punctual, good price, did not try to upsell, excellent snd thorough work.
Jacob responded promptly to my AC out issue. He proved himself knowledgeable and efficient with his and my time. He did what I needed done for submission to my warranty company too. Thank you Jacob for helping ensure my family didn’t go without AC another night during this heat, especially since it was so late and last minute.
Update: New heat pump installed and process went so smoothly! Everyone who helped was very friendly, kind and knowledgeable. Taylor does an awesome job helping me out on the phone. Tyler worked with us to get what we needed, the installation coordinator was great and Steven, Ian and Anthony worked their tails off all day long in intense heat to get the job done and even tidied up so nicely. The AC of my mini-split wasn’t cooling. They assessed the problem quickly. They said there was a leak & could try locating the leak, repairing it and refilling with refrigerant, but it may not be a long lasting solution considering the system I have. They recommend replacing instead of repairing. Considering how unhappy I’ve been with this system- I’m open to recommendations so they scheduled the very next day a consultation.

Requested they provide us a quote to install a shutoff valve and diagnose a leak. They wouldn't quote over the phone but said they will come to our house to provide a quote for $89.00. They quoted $750 for the valve, told us the leak came from HVAC and their HVAC team would have to show up to diagnose and quote repair. Required we pay them $300 for the diagnosis and service call. NOTHING WAS FIXED. When I contacted the company, they said the $89 fee is just to show up, diagnoses and quote is extra. I will not be using this company as I consider this an egregious business practice.So I go under crawl space. See water seeping through bricks. See two plastic tubes going from crawl to HVAC unit. Go to HVAC unit. No leaks. Ground is wet around unit. I brush debris aside to find the two pipes. They must be condensation drains and they are draining right to the ground outside house and seeping back in. For $300, the technician couldn't figure this out? Shame on me for not taking 5 minutes to do on my own. Expensive lesson learned. I can only imagine the diagnoses and repair cost for that fix!
Great excellent world class sales and service.Just had my annual cleaning for my tankless water heater. Technician name was Marvin.Very polite professional well spoken young man. Norfolk Air Heating, cooling have the best most professional and skilled technicians. Price point seems to be the trend lately. Some could say they got a bargain until stuff breaks down and then it cost an arm and a leg to fix it. Norfolk air Heating and cooling may cost a little more but the the products and service they offer is worth the investment. Discount plumbers are hard to track down whens the stuff goes wrong. The corporate office at Norfolk air and Heating is right up the street on east little creek road.

So, at around 11pm, Saturday night, one of my upstairs toilets started having a 'will not flush or respond to the plunger' issue. Fortunately, the company I've used for HVAC also has emergency after hours plumbing services. They were at my door in less than an hour. My technician, Marvin Wilson, worked on things for awhile to diagnose the problem but didn't have the machine on his truck at that time. He left my house after 1am but returned a bit after 2pm on Sunday. He worked for hours on my clogged system until everything was right with my upstairs toilets, tubs and sinks. He was very professional, thorough couldn't have been more pleasant while he was here. I highly recommend Norfolk Air, Heat and Plumbing and my technician, Marvin Wilson, for your household repair needs. I have used this company for years for my HVAC system but first time for plumbing.

Norfolk Air came out to perform the cleaning and inspection of my AC/Heating unit. They are always on time and make sure I am aware of any issues and explain everything they have done. Outstanding service always!

Last Year after purchasing Our Dream home in Norfolk, I called Norfolk AIR Heating, Plumbing & Electrical. The Tech Was professional on time.. Checked Everything said it was good.. Checked Freon pressure gave me 100 satisfaction.... Year later Wanted same Professional Treatment... Called and Scheduled for today between 8-10 They called Said they were running behind I was fine with it... Technician Showed up Entered home looked at Two units Split System than went outside as he looked at Outside unit he said He wasn't familiar with this type of unit and Said, "It's not a good idea to Do check if is not showing anything wrong" Ok... Than he came inside again and said let's let it Run for a Bit... He went outside and drove away... Returned 15 minutes later and Suddenly Had An Answer to "Non-existenting" issue Now the Fan in one unit is Dirty and would get a Quote for Me... Minutes later he says, "Pressure and Freon are Fine".... I saw No evidence of him even Hooking up to Check BECAUSE HE SAID ALL WAS GOOD! I Called main office after The Price Doubled $89.00 Last Time Now Another $89.00 For Service... $178.00 What Service? Called office and The Answer now is $89 for Service call and $89.00 For Work... No Work was Done... Technician Gives me Quote for Over $800.00 To Clean Fan I said I can buy new unit for half I was upset told him I would Call office to Pay the Bait and Switch charge... Than paid and called The Manager Who Says... As Office people did "I've listened to Phone call and we Said our policies have Changed " When asked what $89.00 was for? Answer.... "That's to Book appointment and Show up" And says last years visit tech Was Wrong in not charging more... That's why I called them... I've requested Notes and Photos of Work received Recept and Arrival and Departure times They were not correct... While Walking my dog 15 to 20 minutes after Technician left he was Setting up the Street... Funny I looked at Time... It was The Time he Claimed Departure was.... I get it Times are Difficult but Overcharging and Lack of explanations Are frustrating... I Will Never Trust This Company Again.... As A former Warrant Manager and Customer service Worker Sad to See How this Company Works...Follow Up After Talking With Bobby The Owner of Norfolk Air Heating, Cooling And Electrical... I was Told My Money Would be Returned and They Would Send Photos of The Work including Photos of The Pressure Check... I Received two Photos of Technician's Phone screen but Not Hooked Up to My Unit... And Recording of My Appointment being Made.... Today The Full Charge was Applied To My Credit Card..When I Called back Today Bobby Had New Answers... And Said He Wasn't Refunding Any Money Because I Posted Negative Reviews About This Company Not Being Trust Worthy... Norfolk Air replaced my leaking water heater and also corrected the exhaust ventilation that was not properly installed previously. They also found a leak at the city water intake and will be calling the city about that for me. also I think Norfolk Air , plumbing and HVAC (they do electrical also) are very professional.My technicians Marvin and his apprentice Ricky we’re very easy to get along with and I thank you for the service.Update 7/05/2022: During a previous visit, an unsafe electrical condition was discovered. Today electrician Wes with the assistance of Jose have not only corrected the weather damaged unsafe condition, but updated ( brought up to code) my meter placement and replaced the circuit breaker box.7/14/2022 update: Matt’s diagnostic skills were excellent and my system was up in a jiffy.
I woke up at 4am to our AC unit out. I was able to book an appointment online immediately and they called me first thing upon opening to confirm and even moved me to an earlier appointment given the circumstance. The tech was quick, professional and very helpful in understanding what happened.

Technician Cassidy made my day! He showed up on time, had shoe protection on, and was friendly. This was a yearly maintenance appointment but I did explain an ongoing concern with the air flow in one room. He looked into this and I do believe he fixed an annoying issue that I have lived with at least 5 years!! I’m so happy and grateful that he figured it out! He did the cleaning/checks inside and out and looked into any possible issues with the ducts. After finding none, he gave me a couple suggestions that might help. Happy with the service. We had them come out and the pipe was still leaking and it was a bad job all together however when we called them back out they sent John Edmonds and he was nothing but professional and corrected the problem in no time. He apologized for the bad work done by the previous plumber and had the pipe fixed and stopped the leak. I would use them again if he was sent out.
Nick and his team installed three outdoor HVAC units for us in May and June.
