I recently had Damien from Norfolk Air out to service my system, and I couldn’t be more pleased. He was the epitome of professionalism—arrived right on time, gave me a heads-up before he showed up, and treated my home with respect (including rocking those protective shoe covers—aka, shoe condoms🤣).He quickly and clearly diagnosed the issue and took the time to explain everything to me in a way that made sense. I never felt rushed or out of the loop. Plus, he made me feel completely comfortable having him in the house, which is a big deal for me.All in all, Damien was super informative, thorough, and just a great technician.I can provide a full and through review of the company after my service is complete.

Plumbing - Had Jerome out to remove an old boiler and install a water heater. Man, he move with purpose! He was courtesy's and patient when speaking with me and family. He came by again to adjust heater, and asked if I had any issues or concerns that needed to be addressed. I'm GLAD he was assigned to my project. Wade spring is awesome best tech that we have had.. he always take care of us. Last Wednesday the technician did not take care of the problem. It seemed like he didn't know or wanted to be here and was worried about the cost of the part more then the costumers. We had no AC for almost a week. Wade came to our rescue and fixed It. He is the only technician I trust with our HVAC.
We had a toilet that was clogged and then it started to overflow with raw sewage. This happened around midnight. I called their 24hr service and was able to have William come out asap.He evaluated the problem and explained very clearly, what he was going to do.He was able to unclog the drain by removing the toilet and snaking the clog.I'm very happy with the service provided, William and the response time.I would use their services again.

I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but our most recent experience with Norfolk Air needs to be shared.We’ve had a maintenance contract with Norfolk Air for about 5 years, which included routine visits for upkeep on our AC system. We originally signed with them in 2019 after calling their after-hours support during an AC outage just before a hurricane. They quickly got us up and running that night, excellent service at the time.Fast forward to now… our AC stopped working, so we called Norfolk Air. They informed us they were fully booked for the day and advised us to call back after 6 PM for after-hours service. When we called, we were met with an incredibly frustrating AI phone system that wouldn’t connect us to a live person or trigger a callback. After finally figuring out how to bypass it, we managed to schedule a technician for that same evening, which we initially thought was great.Without going into personal details, the technician who showed up turned out to be the worst experience we’ve ever had with any trade professional. He didn’t perform a thorough or even correct inspection, misdiagnosed the problem, and gave us a quote for almost $2,000 which was completely unrelated to what the real issue turned out to be.The next day, we contacted a reputable local family-owned business. They arrived promptly, correctly identified the root cause of the issue, and provided photo evidence while explaining how it could have been easily prevented with proper routine maintenance. This revealed that Norfolk Air had been charging us for years for maintenance that was never properly performed.Needless to say, we’ve cancelled our contract with Norfolk Air and will never recommend their services.Update: Our AC has been fixed by another company. The part that needed to be replaced was located in a unit inside our house. Norfolk Air did not even investigate this unit and diagnosed an issue with the outside AC unit which turned out to be false.
My wife passed away, I have a lot of family coming for the funeral, and the heat goes up. The company sent Gordon to my house. He was great. Got the heat working go enough until he got parts. Two days later he returned and fixed it completely. Great company, great technician.

New system installed in April, as of today, July 18 our system is still not working properly. Other than bringing us two small window units, the customer service has been unsatisfactory and disappointingFrom determining the issue, to waiting on a part since June 12th which was supposedly expedited we are still without acVendor promised the part would be here today and that didn't happen. The part has been in route from Charlottesville since July 2nd.We asked earlier this week for the DM to call us and that did not happen eitherWe will never use Norfolk Air again and will be filing a complaint with the BBB.Donna Tefft

The guys who show up are competent, professional and pleasant. Good dudes. 10/10.Update: Norfolk Air continues to provide extraordinary service and value. They did a good job when it came to replacing our AC unit last year but when it came to a repair of our second AC unit that is less than five years old, they wanted $3800 for the repair, even with the parts still being under warranty. This is with their member pricing. That didn’t seem right so we got a second opinion, and we ended up having an issue with only the capacitor and a minor electrical problem. The AC and electrical repair only ended up costing $350. Mistakes happen sometimes with a diagnosis but I don’t think I would trust Norfolk Air again with an AC repair.
Toilet bowl wasn't filling, tried YouTube, google, and phone a friend. Finally called Norfolk Air. They had come previously same issue, resolved for few weeks and we ended up calling a hazmat team to clear debris from under house. Second call though William was persistent, and patiently worked through the 300+ pipe line from vent stack to city line clearing 3 blockages. William worked through heat and on off showers locating the exterior cleanout hidden under pine straw and dirt. He also raised it for future use. We're thankful William listened to concerns, did not give up, and provided suggestions to make this easier im future. We feel more confident after the flushing of the whole line and camera.
The technician was polite, on time and knowledgeable. I was pleased Norfolk heating and cooling actually shared a picture of who's coming into your home I think more businesses should implement that. I paid $89 service fee for HVAC inspection which was reasonable.
Damien was very knowledgeable in his craft. He explained everything about my unit and broke it down Barney language so I could understand what was going on.
STAY AWAY! This company will ignore calls to address potential damage caused to your home by their technicians. I waited for over two weeks for them to respond and they ghosted me. Take it from a retired member of our armed forces, you don't want to use a company that won't take accountability for their actions - even if it might have been by mistake. Find another company - and fast!
Our experience has been that from the hvac install and few repairs we have had, all took too long and cost too much. Nice people doing installs and fixes; everyone from the office we have talked to has been friendly for the most part.Recent example, our HVAC wasn't working. The Office and tech did not coordinate on pricing, so we had to argue back and forth over what we were being told and had additional line items appear on invoices. Not fun when your dealing with no heat or ac. On top of that, it took over a week to fix.
I recent had my AC system replaced with Norfolk Air Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical and Tyler was the initial salesperson/technician. Tyler came out to provide a quote for the job and he was professional throughout the entire process. I gave feedback on Carl, who installed the unit, and he was amazing but I also wanted to provide feedback on Tyler as well. At a time when good customer service is sometimes hard to find, Tyler and Carl were true professional and I just want to say 'Kudos' to both of them.
Called me 15 minutes before my appointment window after waiting a week to tell me they would not be able to help me because my system was too new. Very unprofessional because they could’ve not scheduled me In the first place or called me over the five days and let me know their decision
Ricky Arrived on time, greeted with introduction, pleasant personality and big smile. Explained estimate and cost (thought pricey) and what he would be doing to resolve sewer line backed up in house. I approved due to urgency to clear out sewer pipes. Ricky kept me updated along the way, sharing number clogs cleared. . Ricky was able resolve my issue to satisfaction.... The first service was great. Now the summer one they have rescheduled me THREE times. This is less than 24 hours after contacting me to confirm my appt slot for today. Definitely going to be calling around at this point. Ridiculous.Dropped to 1 star. When the “service manager” called me back he told me I was lower priority since my A\C is actually working. Yea I get that but at what point do you lose customers because you reschedule them? I took time off of work for this on 2 different occasions and now have to for a 3rd. When I asked for some sort of a discount (I’d be happy with at least an offer of something) the “manager” Brian told me that I was still receiving my full service only delayed. My original appt was in May, now it’s being scheduled for late July.
Price for cleaning out a 10 foot lond sewer main from clean out to street was 705 dollars. 20 minutes and technician didn’t have an extension code so instead of him going to hardware store I provided on. Had a family emergency so just needed to get it done. Reached out to other companies after and double the price most charge. Technician n knew I was not happy but tried to get me do camera scope. Will not use or refer anyone to them.
I'm a previous customer of Norfolk Heating and Air and have always been happy with their service. Our AC went out last night and our house was very hot. I called the number to set an appt and spoke with an AI bot. The bot said they had appointment times available today, I said great, please schedule. About 30 minutes later, I received a text and email confirming an appointment time of 8a-10a. My husband and I moved around work appointments and a doctor's appointment to accommodate that time, but were very relieved someone would be here quickly. then I received a call around 815am that they didn't have that time available but could be there from 2p-6p. I called back and said I didn't understand what happened, I was promised an appt time of 8a-10a and had already moved things around for a confirmed appointment. She said the AI bot just does that and nothing was ever confirmed (although it clearly said we had an appointment time in both the email and text). I asked her to honor the time they gave me and she said it never really existed, that's just what the AI does but if I couldn't make the time work today, the next available was next week. I explained my child is graduating today during that time and could not make it work. I've called another company who will be here today. I work in home services with AI all the time, clearly something is wrong with yours and if you know that, you need to honor it or fix it.
Barry and Jackson did an amazing job with precision and excellence!! They professionally fixed my ac and in a timely matter. Don't sleep on these two, they are amazing! They definitely deserve a raise!
This place is a masterclass in incompetence. I don’t know what kind of circus they’re running, but calling it “24/7 service” is a bold-faced lie. Try “whenever we feel like it — or not at all.” I called THREE TIMES over two miserable days while my family, including three small children, baked in an 80-degree house. Each time, we were fed the same empty promise: “A technician will be sent.” Spoiler alert — no one ever came.When I called again, desperate and frankly furious, the person at the physical location acted like I was somehow the problem — like asking them to do their job was just too much to handle. The attitude was appalling, the professionalism nonexistent, and the follow-through laughable. I've seen more coordination at a middle school group project.If you enjoy being lied to, dismissed, and left to rot in your own personal sauna, go ahead and give them a call. Otherwise, run — don’t walk — far, far away from this disaster of a company. Their “service” is nothing more than a hot, humid joke.
All-around excellent work once again done by Damien of Norfolk Heating & Air on our HVAC Unit, we had perfect Heating during the recent winter and now we fully enjoy excellent Cooling Air as well just as 90 Degrees Heat reaches Eastern Virginia this June!
Cameron was excellent. He is knowledgeable, answered all our questions, and to top it off is thorough, polite and courteous. We will be requesting him in the future.
We called Norfolk Air Heating and Cooling for a plumbing leak that no one has been able to fix. Eric was really knowledgeable and explained everything. He solved the problem in one afternoon. I would highly recommend this company and will use them again in the future.
A lot of over charging I want 2 lights installed one of them was already installed just needed to connect the wires and he said he was charging me 2678.98 to install one light but the entire time his other technician kept shaking his head and smiling
Had Norfolk cooling and air come out because my ac was not working. Got an appointment the day I called and Troy came out and walked me threw what could be wrong, the tears he was running and how he planned to fix it. He was so helpful and professional!
Brand new system and duct work replaced overall great experience, guys came and cleaned up at the end of every day before they left. Small hiccup at the end with the air handler but got it situated right away. thank you to Melton for the install, and thank you to Justin and Gordon for fixing the small issue . Very knowledgeable.
Our geothermal HVAC has not been working. Valve needed to get things in order. Thankful to have them as our allies in keeping our heating and cooling needs in good working order.

Worst experience ever. I’ve had issues before with my ac unit so I know what to expect from a company but this was the worst company I’ve ever interacted with. They sent a guy to come look at my ac unit outside because it wasn’t working. The guy shows up lets us know the compressor is bad and that he’ll call me to discuss the estimate after he finds out if it still has warranty. The next day I’m waiting all day for a call and look at my email to an estimate. No call to go over it. The estimate only had the part amounts I would need with the specific jobs they were wanting to do. No specific itemized estimate for how much each job was just an overall amount for the entire job. I call the office first to get an itemized bill because again I’ve dealt with ac estimates before so I know what to look for and compare prices. The lady said it was against the companies policy to provide an itemized bill??????? flag number 1. Then I request them to add a leak test to my estimate because this is the second time I’ve had issues with the compressor. I ask how much would that be and she said I would need to pay again for someone to come back out and look at it to tell me how much???? After the first guy already came out and knew we needed a leak test to actually fix the problem that’s messing up my compressors. They were only going to change the broken part but not actually fix the actual problem. Flag #2. They were the worst company I’ve ever interacted with they couldn’t even answer any of my questions or provide the information needed
